Outage in Bay of Plenty fibre network – We’re working fast to get you back on line

Pre-installation terms

Current as at: November 2024

Why we are here

We are here because you have given us permission to assess connecting your property to our network, either directly to us or through your retail service provider. Please read and sign this form to confirm that you understand what will happen during the installation of our network and to agree to an installation plan.

Important

Tuatahi First Fibre is the owner of the network. Your retail service provider is who you receive your broadband services from. You will need to work with your retail service provider in relation to your services and your retail service provider’s equipment (including any monitored alarms, medical alarms, EFTPOS machines, modems, routers, etc.) for which we are not responsible. We may connect your retail service provider’s equipment if they have requested this, and if you have any questions or issues with that equipment, you must contact your retail service provider.

End user terms

The terms confirming each of our rights and obligations relating to the network equipment we install, maintain, fix, repair and operate on your property when you have ordered a service on our network can be found here: www.tuatahifibre.co.nz/end-user-terms.

Reinstatement

As soon as reasonably practicable after the installation of our network equipment and/or the connection of your service, we will reinstate the parts of your property where the installation work was carried out to as near as possible as to its original state of repair (except to the extent that it is not practical to do so) and leave those areas in a clean and tidy state.

Access to your property

When we install, repair or replace our network equipment at your property, a person over the age of 18 years old and authorised to approve the works must be present; and we must be able to gain reasonable and safe access to your property and any animals on-site must be secure.

Use of existing assets

If you give us consent to use any existing conduit, ducts or other assets you own, we are not liable to you for any loss or disruption to any services, or any other loss you incur, if we agree to make use of your assets and you will indemnify us for any third party claims relating to our use of those assets.

Privacy notice

You agree that we will collect personal information from you for the purposes of processing your order, informing you about the benefits of using our network and any relevant surveys (which are not compulsory for you to complete). For more information: www.tuatahifibre.co.nz/privacy
